Refunds
Refund Policy
Refunds go back to the card that paid. Nowhere else, in any circumstance. Here is when money comes back, how quickly, and what happens to the fee.
01The one rule that governs every refund
A refund is always returned to the credit card that funded the payment. We will not send a refund to a bank account, a wallet, a different card, or a third party — not on request, not by exception. This is what keeps Veduka a bill payment service rather than a route to cash.
This policy explains when money comes back, how long it takes, and what happens to the service fee.
02When you get a refund
| Situation | Bill amount | Service fee |
|---|---|---|
| Settlement failed — the payee's bank rejected it, or the account was closed or frozen | Refunded in full | Refunded |
| You cancelled before we initiated the settlement | Refunded in full | Refunded |
| Duplicate charge — your card was charged twice for the same bill | Duplicate refunded | Refunded |
| We charged the wrong amount against a correct instruction | Difference refunded | Adjusted |
| We declined or reversed the settlement after charging you | Refunded in full | Refunded |
| Proven unauthorised use of your account, once investigated | Refunded in full | Refunded |
03When we cannot refund
- The bill was settled to the payee you nominated. The money has left our hands and discharged your obligation. Recovering it is a matter between you and the payee.
- You entered the wrong payee details and the account was valid. We will help you approach the receiving bank, but we cannot pull funds back from a successful credit.
- You are unhappy with the goods, services, tenancy or work behind the bill. That dispute sits with the payee.
- You changed your mind after settlement. A discharged bill cannot be un‑discharged by us.
In the first two cases we will give you the settlement reference, the date, and a written confirmation of the payment so you can pursue it directly. Where the payee agrees to return the funds, they must send them to you, not to Veduka.
04What happens to the service fee
The service fee is charged for settling a bill. If the bill was not settled, the fee is refunded with it. If the bill was settled as instructed, the fee has been earned and is not refundable.
GST charged on a refunded fee is refunded too, and a credit note is issued against the original tax invoice.
05Timelines
| Stage | Who | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Refund initiated after the failure or approved request | Veduka | 1 business day |
| Reversal processed by the acquiring bank | Acquirer | 1–2 business days |
| Credit appears on your card statement | Your issuer | 5–7 business days |
The last step is the one we cannot control. Once we have the acquirer's reference number we will share it with you, and your issuer can trace the credit with it. If the amount has not appeared within ten business days of that reference, tell us and we will chase it.
06How to raise a refund request
Write to support@vedukainvestments.com from your registered email with:
- the transaction ID or settlement reference;
- the date and amount;
- the last four digits of the card used;
- what went wrong, in a sentence or two.
We acknowledge within 48 hours and tell you the outcome within 7 business days. If we need something from the acquirer or the beneficiary bank, we will say so and keep you posted rather than leaving the request open.
07Before you raise a chargeback
Come to us first. A chargeback on a settlement we completed correctly on your instruction will be contested with the bill, your confirmation and the settlement reference on file, and it may lead to your account being suspended.
If we have genuinely made an error, you will not need a chargeback — we will refund it.
